Holten is 2!!

Cute shirt, huh?(PS. if you try to find this site, make sure you add the hyphen in the address, I almost posted something that I would not have been happy about!!! ;o) Cheris got this online and I love it! I think they go through 8. By the way, did you know or remember that 2 year olds do not smile or make eye contact when a camera is aimed at them? In fact, this particular stinker would actually stop midsmile whenever I would point my camera in his direction. I actually do remember this stage with my kids. It preceded the frozen cheesy smile stage that lasted for quite a while. At times we STILL revert back to that. Holten had lots of fun on his birthday! We got him some matchbox cars and a little rug covered with streets to zoom the cars along. He loved it. However, while his daddy persistently tried to teach him MAN-ly car sounds to make, he persisted right back with a sing-songy "Mer mer mer" as he pushed his cars along. The more animated and deep Jarod made his voice, the more girly Holten sounded. It was hilarious... wish I could add audio. Here's a nice pic of the family.

"Snow cute!"

OK. I PROMISE that won't be the title when I scrap this! ;o) But its late and I'm tired and I just couldn't come up with anything else...Any suggestions?

Couldn't resist this wintry photo-op just before we left for Holtens party. More pics from that later!

Gotcha, Keagan!

Maya is developing such a great sense of humor. Tonight, when it was time for bed, we were following the kids up the stairs and into their rooms. I followed Keagan and when he climbed into bed he noticed that every animal he owns was in a pile in the middle of his bed. Amongst them was Maya's Cheer Bear. He said, "hey, what's this girl toy doing in my bed?" I leaned out the door and threw it in her room. Then Keagan suddenly realized what was going on and said, "Where's Murray?" Simultaneously, Maya, in her bed, pulled Murray out from under her covers and held onto him with all her might. Of course, this prompted a running tackle by Keagan and some good natured wrestling over his beloved friend. Apparently, Maya had hatched this little plan to get some attention while the rest of her family was glued to the TV watching the Super Bowl. Just what they needed right before they were supposed to be falling asleep, but all of that giggling and fun-having is the good stuff, isn't it?
